The long-running tennis franchise is preparing for its next major stage. The official production team for Shin Tennis no Oujisama: U-17 World Cup Kesshou Member Ketteisen (The Prince of Tennis U-17 World Cup Selection Match) has confirmed that the upcoming sequel television anime will officially premiere on October 1 on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, and TV Aichi.
New Cast & Technical Staff
Accompanying the broadcast schedule announcement is a slate of fresh additions to both the vocal talent and the production team behind the scenes. Joining the international roster of players are four key voice actors:
- Tasuku Hatanaka as Julio Roman
- Reiji Kawashima as Mars de Colon
- Ryuuho Nagaoka as Silva Serra Banbieri
- Megumi Han as Sedah
On the production side, animation studio M.S.C returns to handle the project alongside director Yoshinobu Tokumoto. Series composition remains in the hands of Mitsutaka Hirota, with Akiharu Ishii returning as character designer and chief animation director. However, art direction sees a shift: Kenichi Tajiri and Akane Ichinose step in to replace Jinya Kimura, backed by background studio ARTE MUKUO and CG director Norifumi Hirakawa.
Musical Themes & Preview Video
Musical group Aosu will provide the opening theme song titled "Walls And Bridges," which can be heard in the newly released promotional trailer. Veteran voice actors Junichi Suwabe and Hidenobu Kiuchi are collaborating on the ending theme, "Kinkanshoku phenomenal."
The current animated run builds on a extensive legacy. Takeshi Konomi's original manga serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump from 1998 to 2008 across 42 volumes, while its sequel series in Jump SQ is nearing its final publication milestone with its 48th volume set to release on September 4.
