The staff for Shin Tennis no Ōji-sama U-17 World Cup Kesshō Member Ketteisen (The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Finals Members Decisive Match), the sequel anime to The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Semifinal, has unveiled a vibrant new promotional video, key visual, four new cast members for Spain's national team, and a September 30 premiere date. The trailer also previews the opening theme song "Walls And Bridges" performed by the four-member unit Aozu.
The newly announced voice cast for the Spanish team includes Tasuku Hatanaka as Julio Roman, Reiji Kawashima as Mars de Colón, Ryūho Nagaoka as Silva Serra Banbieri, and Megumi Han as Sedah. Additionally, film actor Yū Shirota, who played Kunimitsu Tezuka in the live-action film, will voice the character Romeo Fernandez.
The anime will premiere on TV Tokyo on September 30 at 12:00 a.m. JST (effectively October 1), and will also air across TV Osaka and TV Aichi. The plot centers on the fierce battle to determine the members representing Japan in the ultimate finals match against Spain.
The musical units for the series feature returning fan favorites: unit Aozu—comprising Ryōma Echizen (voiced by Junko Minagawa), Kunimitsu Tezuka (voiced by Ryōtarō Okiayu), Syusuke Fuji (voiced by Yuki Kaida), and Shuichiro Ōishi (voiced by Takayuki Kondō)—performs the opening theme, while Junichi Suwabe (Keigo Atobe) and Hidenobu Kiuchi (Yūshi Oshitari) perform the ending theme "Kinkanshoku phenomenal".
Original creator Takeshi Konomi serialized the landmark sports manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 to 2008, later launching The New Prince of Tennis in Jump Square in 2009. Konomi announced in July 2025 that he plans to conclude the ongoing sequel manga within a year.
