Creators Sora Karin and Kentarō Harada have officially expanded their collaborative portfolio with the launch of a brand-new psychological supernatural manga titled The Pit of Darkness (Yami Sute Ana). The series premiered on Shueisha’s digital flagship platform, Shonen Jump+, capturing immediate attention from readers looking for fresh narrative tension. For international audiences, MANGA Plus is publishing chapters simultaneously in English.
The narrative centers on Kasuga, a diligent young student frequently exploited by his peers due to his accommodating nature. Everything shifts during a class field trip involving cleaning duties, where he stumbles upon a massive, bottomless void that seemingly erases whatever is cast into it. After accidentally dropping an object into the chasm, Kasuga discovers that the mysterious pit possesses a terrifying capacity to distort reality itself.
This new venture follows the creative duo's previous serialized work, Enkan no Emotions, which ran in Tonari no Young Jump from late 2024 through early 2025. Karin also previously collaborated with Merou Meiji on The Archangel of Death, while Harada teamed up with Mikumo Seto on Villain Actor. With The Pit of Darkness now secured on the global stage through MANGA Plus, the author-artist pair looks to establish a darker, more uncanny tone in the mainstream Shonen Jump ecosystem.
