FromSoftware has officially announced a release date adjustment for its highly anticipated multiplayer action title, The Duskbloods. Originally slated for a 2026 debut, the PvPvE project will now launch in 2027 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. According to the development team, the decision comes in direct response to valuable player metrics and gameplay impressions gathered during the Closed Network Test held last August.
The extended development timeline will allow creators to fine-tune combat mechanics, refine core rules, and recalibrate overall game balance. Within the dark realms of The Duskbloods, participants step into the role of a Bloodsworn, navigating hostile environments, leveraging diverse arsenals, and forging strategic alliances to survive against formidable opposition.
This announcement follows FromSoftware's ongoing hardware adaptation efforts, including the recent worldwide rollout of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2. As the studio continues its trajectory on next-generation hardware platforms, fans of the acclaimed developer's challenging design philosophy will need to exercise a bit more patience before stepping into the fray of their latest multiplayer endeavor.
