Following the broadcast of the 24th and final episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 (Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken), production studio 8bit delivered a major double announcement for the fantasy franchise. The second part of the fourth season is officially set to premiere in July 2027, continuing Rimuru Tempest's grand story.
Clayman's Second Chance
In addition to the main series continuation, the official website revealed a television anime adaptation of Wataru Kajika's spin-off manga That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Clayman's Revenge, slated to premiere ahead of Season 4 Part 2 in April 2027. The spin-off shifts focus to one of the series' most iconic antagonists, exploring an alternate timeline scenario.
After that final scream rang out during the Walpurgis Festival, the dreams of the Marionette Master were thought to be done for good. But either through the vagaries of fate or the decision of the world at large, Clayman's theater has opened up for one more act.
Director Kentarou Sugimoto (known for episode direction on Blue Lock) will helm the spin-off adaptation at studio 8bit. Yuuji Haibara, who directed The Slime Diaries, handles series composition, while character designs are managed by Asumi Hashimoto and Hideki Sakai. The original voice cast will reprise their roles for the project.
Franchise Legacy
Serialized in Shounen Sirius since April 2022, Kajika's spin-off offers a fresh perspective on the lore created by author Fuse and illustrator Mitz Vah. With the original light novel series concluding its main narrative run, the expansion into side stories showcases the enduring world-building potential of the Tensura universe. Fans can follow updates on the official website as both productions approach their 2027 release windows.
