Developer SEEC has confirmed that the smartphone adventure sequel Tasokare Hotel -Tsubomi- will sunset its operations, ending service on November 30. In-game currency sales have already been halted, and players have been instructed on refund procedures ahead of the final shutdown.
Launched in March 2025, Tasokare Hotel -Tsubomi- expanded upon the atmospheric narrative universe established by the original 2017 mobile release, introducing an entirely new protagonist, cast, and refined mechanics. While the app will remain accessible for historical viewing after the service ends, active gameplay and story progression will no longer be available.
Franchise Legacy
The wider Tasokare Hotel intellectual property has enjoyed considerable cross-media expansion since its inception by creator Benoma Ray and developer SEEC. The original title surpassed 1.1 million downloads worldwide, leading to the enhanced remake Tasokare Hotel Re:newal on mobile and Steam, a stage play adaptation, a webtoon, and a television anime series that aired in January 2025 across international streaming platforms.
TASOKARE HOTEL is a hotel that is engulfed in twilight all day long, with no distinction between day and night.
It exists as a place between life and death, where souls unable to decide whether to move on to the afterlife or return to the present world can rest their wings.
It's Anime!
Although the -Tsubomi- sequel is closing its doors, the broader footprint of the twilight hotel remains an established fixture of mobile mystery adventure storytelling.
