Atamoto's gentle, full-color slice-of-life comic Tanuki to Kitsune is heading to television screens. The broadcast is scheduled to begin on October 4, 2026, airing Sunday mornings at 7:00 AM JST as part of the TV Tokyo network's "Animori!" programming block. Alongside the release date, the production team unveiled the first official promotional video and full voice cast roster.
The animated adaptation follows the laid-back, heartwarming mountain life of an easygoing tanuki and a slightly prickly, tsundere fox. Voice actress Misaki Kuno (Faputa in Made in Abyss) stars as Tanuki, while Nao Toyama (Rin Shima in Laid-Back Camp) brings Kitsune to life.
