Bandai Namco Europe has confirmed that the post-apocalyptic sci-fi shooter Synduality Echo of Ada will terminate its live-service online operations following May 2027. However, the publisher intends to preserve the title by transitioning it into an offline standalone version for players.
Roadmap to the Offline Transition
Prior to the full server shutdown, ongoing updates and scheduled events will wind down following content drops slated for October. Commercial operations will begin tapering off when sales of in-game items, including SYN COINS tokens, conclude on December 18. Concurrently, local save data transfer tools are scheduled for release in December, allowing players to retain their progress.
The final service end date will be officially pinned down in March 2027, clearing the runway for the release of the offline iteration shortly after May 2027. The title initially launched across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in January 2025.
A Broader Sci-Fi Multimedia Experiment
Set in the dystopian underground refuge of Amasia in the year 2222—decades after a poisonous rain wiped out the majority of humanity and birthed mutated horrors—the project explores the fragile bond between surviving humans and rogue artificial intelligence entities known as Magus.
The title serves as a pillar of a sprawling multimedia franchise masterminded by Bandai Namco Filmworks and Bandai Spirits. This ecosystem notably includes the Synduality: Noir television anime series, which aired across two broadcast cours starting in July 2023 with international streaming via Disney+, alongside various manga and novel spinoffs like Synduality: Ellie.
