Toei Animation has released two new promotional trailers and detailed story elements for Star Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of 2 People (Eiga Meitantei Precure! Fushigi na Niwa to Futari no Himitsu). Scheduled for theatrical release in Japan on September 18, the feature film serves as the big-screen adaptation for the 23rd main entry in the long-running Precure magical girl franchise. The first visual preview highlights a grand crossover, bringing together the current team with magical heroes from previous installments You and Idol Precure♪ and Wonderful Precure!.
The narrative kicks off when the Detective Precure team investigates the elusive "X Mark Incident." A fairy named Rain arrives seeking help, guiding the team to Karin's Garden, a idyllic location currently suffering an invasion from mysterious creatures called "Dame Dame." To voice the central original characters introduced in the film, the production has enlisted a stellar guest cast:
- Akari Kitō as Karin, a 14-year-old girl holding the key to the mystery
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Alan, a fairy guardian watching over Karin
- Kōki Uchiyama as Rain, the fairy who recruits the Precures
- Jinji Nishimura and Kyon (comedy duo cotton) as the troublesome Dame Dame creatures

Director Hanako Ueda (You and Idol Precure♪, episode director on Summer Time Rendering) leads the production, with veteran franchise screenwriter Yoshimi Narita handling the script. Character designs and chief animation direction are spearheaded by Emiko Miyamoto (Precure All Stars F), while Erika Fukasawa and Misaki Umase compose the musical score. The film's primary ending theme song, "FIRST PRISM," is performed by Yūka Masui and Chihaya Yoshitake, accompanied by the insert song "First Step" by Ami Ishii.
The core television series Star Detective Precure! follows Anna Akechi, a middle school student who travels through time from 2027 to 1999. Teaming up with aspiring sleuth Mikuru Kobayashi, the pair transforms into Precure detectives to solve cases and fend off the enigmatic Phantom Thieves. The main series voice cast includes:
