Kadokawa has released an exclusive two-minute preview of the forthcoming feature film Uchū Nanchara Kotetsu-kun: Ukkari Detekita Uchūjin o Sagase! (Space Academy: Find the Aliens Who Accidentally Came Out!). Alongside the footage, the production team confirmed that multi-talented voice actress and singer Shōko Nakagawa has joined the cast to voice various alien characters encountered throughout the journey, while also providing the theme song titled “Uchū no Nanchara Nakama.”
Scheduled to premiere in Japanese cinemas on September 11, the theatrical project builds upon Yūji Nishimura's popular web comic about an aspiring animal astronaut and his classmates at the Animal Space Academy. The movie presents a distinct multimedia hybrid style, blending animated sequences with genuine scientific space footage supervised by the Young Astronaut Club-Japan.
