Kadokawa has announced that Carlo Zen and Shinobu Shinotsuki's military fantasy light novel adaptation Saga of Tanya the Evil (Yōjo Senki) will receive its inaugural film concert. The commemorative event will take place on March 20 at the Ota Civic Hall Aprico in Tokyo, featuring two separate performances designed to celebrate the milestone anniversary of the franchise's anime adaptation.
The special orchestral production is titled The Anime 10th Anniversary Saga of Tanya the Evil Film Concert. It will guide attendees through pivotal narrative beats spanning the television anime's two seasons and theatrical feature, brought to life by a full live orchestra performing the series' signature industrial and orchestral soundtrack. Adding to the immersive experience, principal voice actors Aoi Yūki (Tanya Degurechaff), Daiki Hamano (Weiss), Haruka Tomatsu (Mary Sue), and Yūsuke Kobayashi (Grantz) will provide live voice acting during the performances.
Renowned musical unit MYTH & ROID, whose distinct tracks have defined the sonic identity of both the television series and the film, are officially confirmed as special guests for the anniversary show.
The announcement arrives as the franchise continues its ongoing broadcast momentum following the debut of Saga of Tanya the Evil II, which premiered on AT-X and other Japanese networks, accompanied by its accompanying Yōjo Shenki 2 mini-anime series. Yen Press publishes both the original light novels and Chika Tōjō's manga adaptation in English, offering global audiences access to the gritty tactical conflicts of the Empire.
