The production committee behind Seishun Buta Yarō wa Dear Friend no Yume o Minai (Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend) has confirmed that the upcoming theatrical feature will open across Japanese cinemas on October 16. Positioned as the grand narrative conclusion to Hajime Kamoshida’s acclaimed supernatural drama light novel series, the film adapts the milestone 15th volume and promises to bring Sakuta Azusagawa's emotional journey to a definitive close.
Attendees who catch the feature during its opening week will receive an exclusive bonus text short story penned by Kamoshida, titled Seishun Buta Yarō wa Tea Garden no Yume o Miru (Rascal Does Dream of a Tea Garden). Illustrated by series character artist Keeji Mizoguchi, the companion vignette explores a quiet afternoon shared between Sakuta, Mai, and Shoko following a routine shopping excursion.
