The official production committee for the television anime adaptation of Toshiaki Iwashiro's supernatural thriller Psyren has announced two veteran additions to its recurring ensemble. The sci-fi action series, produced by animation studio Satelight, continues its seasonal run across Tokyo MX, BS11, and Sun TV following its October broadcast debut.
The Tenjuin Household Joins the Cast
The latest casting update introduces two pivotal figures who shape the deeper psychic mysteries of the narrative:
- Reiko Suzuki (Versailles no Bara) as Elmore Tenjuin
- Ayumu Murase (Chainsaw Man, Haikyu!!) as Van Tenjuin
The series is helmed by director Katsumi Ono at Satelight, with veteran screenwriter Shin Yoshida steering series composition. Character adaptations for the screen are handled by Shiro Ookuma, while an expansive musical score is crafted collaboratively by Takashi Oomama, Tatsuhiko Saiki, and Shuu Kanematsu.
Originally serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump between December 2007 and November 2010, Iwashiro's original manga remains a celebrated staple of the magazine's late-2000s psychic battle era, spanning sixteen collected volumes and an expanded light novel adaptation by author SOW.
