The ongoing adaptation of Akira Ozaki's Please Excuse My Younger Brothers has unveiled a comprehensive preview package for its second cour, featuring a fresh promotional video, an atmospheric key visual, and the announcement of a prominent voice cast addition.
Following its initial premiere on July 3, 2026, the series is maintaining a consecutive two-cour broadcast schedule under animation studio Lay-duce. The upcoming second cour is officially slated to begin broadcasting on October 2, 2026. Alongside the premiere date confirmation, production teams highlighted the musical lineup: Japanese band MEminor is stepping in to perform the ending theme titled "Mabataki," joining the previously announced opening theme "LOVE & LIKE" by Neguse.
Production and Cast Expansions
Vocal talent Yoko Hikasa is joining the ensemble as Azusa Yashiro, bringing her extensive industry experience—including recent work on Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You—to the growing family comedy. She integrates into a star-studded main cast led by Naomi Ozora as Ito Narita, Toshiki Masuda as Gen Narita, and Taku Yashiro as Raku Narita.
The creative helm rests with director Hitoshi Nanba, renowned for his work on Golden Kamuy Seasons 1-3 and Tomo–chan Is a Girl!. He is joined by series composer Megumi Shimizu and character designers Shiori Hiraiwa and Yoko Fukushima.
Originating from Akira Ozaki's shojo manga serialized in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret since January 2020, the franchise has steadily expanded its footprint across media formats, including a live-action film adaptation released in December 2024. International viewers can catch the ongoing simulcast via Crunchyroll as the narrative explores high school sophomore Ito adjusting to her chaotic new life with four unique stepbrothers.
