The upcoming television adaptation of Overgeared is heading into the final stretch toward its broadcast debut. Production committee officials released a third promotional trailer alongside a fresh key visual, officially establishing an October 2, 2026 premiere date. The preview highlights the series' ending theme song, titled “Ray of Emotion” and performed by virtual vocalist and rapper TAO.
Alongside the video preview, the production unveiled two supplementary voice talents joining the core ensemble:

Production Pedigree and Source Legacy
Director Ayako Kono, widely recognized for her work guiding Sword Art Online Progressive, oversees the direction at studio J.C.STAFF. Screenwriter Kenta Ihara manages series composition, while Ryosuke Tanigawa provides character designs. The auditory landscape is spearheaded by composer Yoshiaki Fujisawa alongside veteran sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami.
Originally conceived as a web novel by author Saenal before being serialized as a smash-hit digital comic by Monohumbug (REDICE STUDIO) and Team Argo, Overgeared follows the journey of Youngwoo Shin. Operating under the moniker Grid within the hyper-immersive virtual reality MMORPG Satisfy, Shin transforms from an indebted, low-tier player into an elite force after unearthing the legacy of a legendary blacksmith. The series expands an ongoing wave of premium South Korean fantasy properties crossing over into mainstream Japanese television animation.
