Tetsu Kariya and Akira Hanasaki's monumental culinary masterwork Oishinbo is staging a dramatic return to television. Following a hiatus of thirty-five years since the conclusion of the original landmark anime adaptation, the franchise is officially preparing for a brand-new continuation titled Shin Oishinbo, slated for a 2027 broadcast under the production umbrella of Shin-Ei Animation.
The newly unveiled teaser trailer offers audiences a vibrant glimpse into the continuing rivalry between the Tōzai Shimbun's "Ultimate Menu" and the formidable "Supreme Menu" orchestrated by Kaibara Yūzan. Retaining the energetic atmosphere of the 1990s while refining its visual storytelling, the series brings back the intricate interplay of gastronomy, personal friction, and evolving relationships among Shiro Yamaoka, Yūko Kurita, and Dan'ichirō.
