Manga creator Shinsuke Kondō recently addressed readers on social media regarding the prolonged hiatus of his hyper-violent action series Ninja vs. Gokudo. The manga, which has been paused for half a year following its 146th chapter debut in March, is currently navigating the author's health recovery.

Consulting with psychosomatic medical professionals, Kondō learned he was experiencing an extended depressive phase associated with bipolar disorder. He noted that while he is not severely depressed, the condition robs him of the focus required for intricate storyboarding. To manage his health, he is actively adjusting medications, creating illustrations as a therapeutic change of pace, and exploring alternative routines.
Offering reassurance to his readership, Kondō confirmed that the manuscript for chapter 147 is complete. Regular serialization will resume as soon as the storyboards for chapter 148 are finalized.
