Readers following Masakuni Igarashi's romantic comedy series will have to wait an extra week for their next fix. The 45th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine announced that Tune In to the Midnight Heart (Mayonaka Heart Tune) skipped its scheduled chapter due to the author falling ill. Creator Igarashi is currently taking time to rest and recover, with serialization planned to pick back up in the magazine's subsequent issue on October 14.
From Radio Waves to Romance
For fans diving into the narrative through Kodansha USA Publishing or digitally via the K MANGA service, the series follows protagonist Arisu Yamabuki as he tracks down "Apollo," a mysterious radio host who provided him comfort during lonely nights. His search leads him straight into a high school broadcasting club filled with four ambitious girls harboring dreams of voice acting greatness.
The property has enjoyed expanding success across the industry following its launch in September 2023. Beyond its tankōbon releases—with the 14th volume shipping in August—the franchise successfully transitioned to television screens with an anime adaptation that debuted in January, followed swiftly by confirmation of a second season slated to premiere in 2027.
