CAPCOM has officially confirmed that Monster Hunter Outlanders, the upcoming open-world survival mobile adaptation of its flagship action franchise, will launch globally for iOS and Android devices on October 29. Meanwhile, a regional version tailored for mainland China is slated to follow in 2027. Developed by Tencent's acclaimed TiMi Studio Group—the powerhouse behind Call of Duty Mobile and Pokémon Unite—the game blends traditional hunting mechanics with expansive open-world exploration and seamless multiplayer support.
The title introduces a character-switching mechanic that breaks away from traditional series conventions, allowing players to adapt their combat approach dynamically on the fly. Recent promotional showcases also introduced a formidable new Elder Dragon named Ruger Aidal. Veteran franchise composer Tadayoshi Makino returns to helm the musical score, ensuring the characteristic sonic atmosphere of the series remains intact.
Expanding the Franchise Horizon
This mobile project continues a massive era of momentum for the property, following the monumental success of Monster Hunter Wilds and the release of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. With TiMi Studio Group bringing its extensive pedigree in large-scale mobile development, fans eager for a portable open-world hunting experience will soon find out how well the franchise transitions to touchscreens when October 29 arrives.
