Voice actor agency INTENTION has announced that it will officially dissolve on March 31, 2027. The heartbreaking news was shared across the agency's official website and social media channels on October 13, 2026, marking a major turning point for the prominent talent firm.
The agency, established in 2012 by veteran voice actor Kenichi Suzumura—renowned for iconic roles such as Shinn Asuka in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, Sougo Okita in Gintama, and Obanai Iguro in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—issued a formal statement explaining the reasons behind the closure. According to the announcement, Suzumura's ongoing struggle with adjustment disorder led to the difficult decision. Medical professionals diagnosed that his condition would not improve as long as he remained burdened with executive management responsibilities.
Suzumura previously announced a hiatus in February 2026 following his diagnosis, returning to work in June with a reduced schedule. Despite attempting to balance his health and business operations, the toll of leadership proved unsustainable.
INTENTION assured fans and industry partners that management duties for all affiliated talent will continue as normal until the final dissolution date in March 2027. The agency pledged to provide maximum support for the future careers of its roster, which includes prominent industry names such as Yuichi Nakamura, Nao Toyama, Yuma Uchida, and Aya Endo.
