Shogakukan's Manga ONE application has officially pulled back the curtain on its autumn serializations schedule. Among the upcoming additions are two high-profile titles helmed by notable creators, bringing fresh storytelling and international talent to the digital platform this October.
New Autumn Debuts
Writer Machibari and artist Seseri are teaming up to launch Mibun ga Gyakuten Itashimashite (Somehow, Our Roles Were Reversed) on October 17. The series features character designs crafted by Itoko, promising a compelling new narrative for readers following Machibari's previous successes in the light novel and manga spheres.
Meanwhile, Spanish artist Juan Albarrán is joining forces with Kо̄ta Matsuda to launch Kyokuhoku Tengoku: Escape From The Far North (The Heavenly Prison of The Far North) on October 25. Albarrán brings considerable industry experience to the project, having recently wrapped up Mangaka's Road to Japan on Kodansha's Comic Days platform and illustrated the critically acclaimed Matagi Gunner series written by Shōji Fujimoto.
Creator Pedigree
Both creators boast impressive creative backgrounds that have built robust anticipation for these autumn launches. Machibari's previous works, including The Banished Saint's Pilgrimage: From Dying to Thriving and All My Fiancé and I Did Was Fight, But Now He's All Over Me?, have established strong followings through various manga adaptations published globally by companies such as Square Enix.
With Albarrán continuing his prolific career in the Japanese manga industry alongside Matsuda's writing, the upcoming slate highlights Manga ONE's ongoing commitment to diverse creative partnerships.
