Disney+ and Hulu have finalized the launch window for their upcoming live-action adaptation of The Remarried Empress, scheduling the romance-fantasy series to premiere on November 4. The announcement arrived alongside character posters and an initial teaser trailer highlighting the core political and romantic tensions of the imperial court.
Imperial Drama Unfolds
The broadcast schedule kicks off with a four-episode launch on November 4, followed by two new episodes every Wednesday. The ten-episode season will conclude on November 25. The narrative adapts the high-stakes royal conflict centered around Navier, the steadfast Empress of the Eastern Empire, whose world fractures when Emperor Sovieshu attempts to displace her in favor of his mistress. Rather than submitting to dishonor, Navier secures a divorce and sets her sights on ruling an opposing empire.
Navier chooses strategic independence over compliance, resolving to reclaim her crown by becoming an Empress in another realm entirely.
Cast and Production
Director Suwon Cho leads the production with teleplays crafted by Geena Yeoh and Choong-Yeol Hyun. The primary cast includes:
- Min-A Shin as Empress Navier
- Ji-Hoon Ju as Emperor Sovieshu
- Se Young Lee as Rashta
- Jong Suk Lee as Prince Heinrey
The original webtoon concluded its seven-year run in January after amassing over 2.9 billion global views across ten languages.
