The official website and social channels for the upcoming live-action television adaptation of Mitsubachi Miyuki’s It’s Strictly Business (Eigyō Desu kara) boys-love manga have unveiled the official teaser visual, core cast members, production staff, and an official premiere date.

The series stars Sōta Uemura in the role of Ren Ashihara alongside Rio Takahashi as Issei Kuji, bringing the romantic comedy dynamic from page to screen.
The adaptation is slated to premiere on November 5 across the BS Fuji broadcasting network, airing in the late-night slot at 24:30 JST. Directing duties are shared by Kozue Sasaki and Kana Urara, working from a screenplay penned by Uiko Miura.

Originally launched by Miyuki in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine in April 2021, the source material explores comedic misunderstandings and romance. North American publisher Yen Press handles the English release under the title It’s Strictly Business, having initially solicited the project under the working title I’m Just in a Faux BL.
