Kodansha USA Publishing has announced a massive wave of upcoming manga acquisitions slated for publication across 2027. The licensing blitz spans several boutique additions to the premium Kodansha Print Club initiative alongside a wide range of romance, thriller, fantasy, and slice-of-life titles.
Kodansha Print Club Additions
The publisher's curated Print Club line will introduce physical editions of high-profile suspense narratives and auteur collections throughout early 2027:
Leading the roster in January 2027 is Moyashi Fujisawa's acclaimed revenge mystery Burn the House Down, following an undercover housekeeper navigating a web of arson and domestic deception. That same month, Fujisawa's collaborative project with artist Kumakazu, When Arika Went Missing, hits shelves alongside the gritty historical thriller Manchuria Opium Squad by Shikako and Tsukasa Monma.
Acclaimed mangaka Daisuke Igarashi (Children of the Sea, Witches) features prominently in the early schedule. His seaside supernatural narrative Kamakura Bakeneko Club: Uncanny Cat Tales arrives in February 2027, quickly followed in March 2027 by Umwelt and Other Stories, an anthology collecting ten surreal speculative fiction short works.
The Print Club slate wraps its initial spring offerings with Chihiro Kanisawa's three-volume shojo romance Futarijime Romantic in March 2027, followed in April 2027 by Misaki Takamatsu's apocalyptic sci-fi drama Ark of the Canaries.
