Sumiko Arai's viral hit manga Kini o Toto (The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't a Guy At All) has officially locked in its broadcast schedule. During a special presentation at New York Comic Con 2026, producers announced that the upcoming television anime adaptation will premiere on January 8, 2027, airing on Nippon TV's new Friday night programming block.

Unbeknownst to Aya, the cool, dark-clad worker is actually her quiet classmate Mitsuki Koga, setting the stage for a unique, music-infused romance and coming-of-age story.
