Reflecting on the stark contrast between Itadori's naturally easygoing demeanor and the crushing trauma inflicted by Sukuna's residence within his soul, Enoki noted that he deliberately avoided over-complicating the character's core balance. Instead, he simply allowed the narrative trajectory authored by Gege Akutami to dictate the performance. However, as the scope expanded into the devastating depths of the Shibuya Incident, maintaining that grounded presence required confronting a profound level of narrative darkness.
When questioned about the most agonizing hurdles in the recording booth, Enoki pointed directly to the Shibuya arc as an unbearable crucible of guilt and loss. The sheer psychological pressure of portraying a hero who internalizes systemic devastation tested his vocal and emotional stamina. Asked what he would do if he could meet Itadori in the physical world, the voice actor offered a remarkably simple, empathetic gesture: a reassuring embrace.
