Manga creator Yasushi Baba, best known for his satirical action series The Ride-On King and martial arts fantasy Golosseum, is bringing his latest serialized work to a conclusion. According to the December issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine, Baba's fantasy series Itsuwari no Kenta (The Fake Centaur) will publish its final chapter in the magazine's next issue on November 26.
The story follows Ren, an inexperienced adventurer who steps up to defend a forgotten shrine and its local spirit from an onslaught of demonic invaders. Accompanied by a sacred unicorn, Ren makes a desperate stand on the brink of death, prompting a sudden spiritual revelation that alters the course of their battle.
A Swift Final Chapter
Kodansha published the second compiled book volume of Itsuwari no Kenta on October 8. The conclusion follows shortly after Baba wrapped up The Ride-On King in late October. With Golosseum having previously completed its six-volume run through Kodansha USA Publishing, Baba continues to maintain a prolific record of action-oriented storytelling across major Japanese magazine imprints.
