The official website for the television anime adaptation of Miku's fantasy light novel series I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too has dropped a flurry of production updates. Fans of the dual-realm fantasy can look forward to the official continuation, with the second season locked in for a January 2027 premiere across Tokyo MX, BS11, and other broadcasting stations.

The upcoming season expands its voice cast with high-profile additions: Ikumi Hasegawa will step into the role of Iris Noublade, while Sora Amamiya joins the ensemble as Mai Kagurazaka. Production studio Millepensee remains at the helm, continuing the visual journey established in the first 13-episode run that aired in Spring 2023.
Production Leadership & Staff Changes
Behind the scenes, returning veteran Shin Itagaki oversees direction, supported by character designer Hiromi Kimura. Several key technical roles feature fresh talent for the sophomore outing. Arimasa Yoshimi and Kotonari Hoashi take charge as directors of photography, Baku Ikeda steps in as 3D CG director, and SHIKI joins Akiyuki Tateyama to compose the musical score under Unlimited Produce by TMS.
Originating as a web novel serialized by author Miku on Kakuyomu back in March 2017, the franchise expanded significantly through Kadokawa's Fantasia Bunko imprint with illustrations by Rein Kuwashima. A manga adaptation illustrated by Kazuomi Minatogawa has run via Web DenPlay Comic since December 2019, with both formats enjoying English localization courtesy of Yen Press.
