Manga artist Eito Chida, widely recognized for adaptation work on popular properties like Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki and Hanasaku Iroha, is embarking on a new original serialization. Announced in the November issue of Square Enix's Gangan Joker magazine, Chida's brand-new battle fantasy series, titled Hoshibarai no Chidori, will officially launch on November 20, 2024.
A Quest Against Wish-Devouring Spirits
The upcoming narrative introduces a supernatural battle setting centered around desire and ambition. The story follows Chidori, a young boy driven by an overwhelming desire to shine bright, and Shin, a peer who views his own inner radiance as the mark of a true hero. Together, the duo stands against menacing star spirits—monstrous entities that hunt and devour human wishes.
