Independent manga publisher Glacier Bay Books has officially expanded its English catalog with several notable indie acquisitions, bringing unique artistic voices and poignant storytelling to international readers for the first time. The new licensing slate spans historical vignettes, speculative romance, and deeply reflective slice-of-life narratives.
Among the headliners is Oedo-chan of Moguraya by Naminami Serata, an Edo-period tale following an earnest stray cat working alongside a mole named Captain. The release will also incorporate an exclusive "SFB bonus story." Another major acquisition is All I Can Do by acclaimed creator Ikebe Aoi, offering a tender philosophical examination of humanity in an increasingly automated world. Additional titles joining the lineup include Mukoubi Aoi's A Vase of Life, Akino Kogomi's debut collection Faraway Blue, and Ikuko Hatoyama's surreal wartime fable The Dovecote Express.
Alongside these fresh licenses, Glacier Bay Books confirmed that physical pre-orders will launch via Kickstarter soon. The publisher also announced upcoming reprint efforts for notable titles originating from Star Fruit Books, including works by visionary horror and indie manga icons.
