Bandai Namco Filmworks has released the second official trailer and key visual for Girls und Panzer das Finale Part 5, the penultimate chapter in the long-running six-part theatrical film project. The main promotional artwork bears the tag line "One more victory to go..." as the tankery crew of Ōarai Girls' High School prepares for their final showdown in the Winter Continuous Track Cup.
The narrative stakes reach their peak following Ōarai's hard-fought victory in the semi-finals. Commander Miho Nishizumi and her veteran crew now face St. Gloriana Girls' College, led by Darjeeling. Adding tactical unpredictability to the confrontation is Alice Shimada, who transferred to St. Gloriana specifically to challenge Miho once more on open terrain.
Road to the Grand Finale
The film is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on October 9. Notably, this installment marks the first time in the franchise's history that an entry will screen in Dolby Cinema venues, alongside standard screenings, Dolby Atmos, 4DX, and MX4D formats.
First launched in October 2012 as a 12-episode original anime series, Girls und Panzer expanded into a major theatrical line with 2015's feature film and the ongoing das Finale hexalogy, which began in December 2017.
