Bandai Namco Filmworks has officially released the first 10 minutes of the fifth film in the six-part Girls und Panzer das Finale anime series on YouTube. The theatrical release opened in Japan across various premium formats, marking a franchise first with screenings in Dolby Cinema alongside Dolby Atmos, 4DX, and MX4D.
The Road to the Finals
The narrative picks up immediately following Ōarai Girls High School's grueling semi-final victory in the Winter Continuous Track Cup. The team now advances to the ultimate championship match, where they face the formidable St. Gloriana Girls' College, commanded by the tactical mastermind Darjeeling. The stakes are further elevated by the presence of Alice, who transferred to St. Gloriana specifically to cross paths with Miho once again on the battlefield.
A Decade-Long Cinematic Journey
Launched initially as a 12-episode television anime series by Actas in October 2012, Girls und Panzer has evolved into a massive multimedia phenomenon centered around armored vehicle tactical sports known as sensha-dō. The das Finale project began its theatrical rollout in December 2017, systematically chronicling Ōarai's multi-school tournament arc through successive cinematic chapters featuring BC Freedom High School, Kuromorimine Girls Academy, and Continuation High School.
