The Grand Line has temporarily shifted course to Quezon City, Philippines. For the fourth consecutive year, SM North EDSA is serving as the regional nexus for Toei Animation's flagship franchise with the opening of Animezing North: ONE PIECE. Running from August 18 to 30 at The Block Atrium, the immersive pop-up celebrates the current thematic arcs of ONE PIECE by featuring supersized inflatables of the legendary Elbaph giant warriors, Dorry and Brogy, alongside a massive replica of the Thousand Sunny.
Exclusive Loot and Grand Line Run
Beyond the photo opportunities, the two-week activation functions as a major retail hub for anime enthusiasts. Visitors can browse exclusive items from partners including Toy Kingdom, Miniso, GeekPH, Oxygen, Careline, Filbars, Funko, and Coolectzone. Attendees spending PHP 3,500 on event merchandise receive an Elbaph-themed tote bag, while all attendees can acquire a promotional Tony Tony Chopper paper hat.
The event launch also revealed details for the upcoming ONE PIECE Run organized by Runrio, slated for September 26, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Complex. The event will offer 1K, 3K, 5K, and 10K categories, complete with custom race kits and a spinning finisher's medal.
The Animezing North initiative represents a growing trend of high-budget, official anime experiential marketing in Southeast Asia. Having previously hosted activations for DAN DA DAN, JUJUTSU KAISEN, and Pokémon, the project earned a Bronze Stevie Award for Innovation in Cultural or Community Events earlier this year. Fans can follow additional announcements on the official SM Supermalls website.
