Following its broadcast run, the Reiwa-era television anime Ghost in the Shell THE GHOST IN THE SHELL concluded its ten-episode run on September 8, 2026. Directed by Moko-chan at animation studio Science SARU with series composition by acclaimed sci-fi author Toh EnJoe, the adaptation won over both veteran fans and newcomers alike with its kinetic pacing, expressive character work by Shuhei Handa, and a faithful dedication to Masamune Shirow's original 1989 Kodansha manga.

As a parting gift to viewers throughout the broadcast, each weekly broadcast featured bespoke end card illustrations and countdown artwork from an extraordinary roster of legendary creators, illustrators, and industry heavyweights. From mechanical design pioneers to visionary cyberpunk conceptual artists, the gallery transformed every episode into a celebration of anime craftsmanship.

  • Episode 03: A stunning mechanical tribute by Kunio Okawara, legendary mecha designer of Mobile Suit Gundam and Armored Trooper VOTOMS, focusing on a deeply detailed Fuchikoma.
  • Episode 04: Tetsuya Nishio delivered a playful school-themed parody featuring a delinquent sukeban version of Kusanagi and a bamboo-sword-wielding Aramaki.
  • Episode 05: Hiroyuki Maeda brought together a large ensemble cast, including a standout depiction of Paz.
  • Episode 06: Yoji Moriyama, director of Megalo Box, contributed a high-contrast, moody slice of cybernetic action.
