The supernatural action storytelling of Ghost Fixers is officially drawing to a close. According to an update in the 99th chapter of the manga on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ platform, creator Yasuki Tanaka is wrapping up his current serialization. While an initial scheduling discrepancy on the final page pointed toward an early October release, MANGA Plus has confirmed that the final 100th chapter will drop on October 16.
From Summer Time Rendering to Supernatural New Town
Yasuki Tanaka originally launched Ghost Fixers on Shonen Jump+ back in March 2024, following the massive critical success of prior hit Summer Time Rendering. Shueisha has supported the print run by shipping the manga's seventh compiled volume in March 2026. International readers have been able to follow the series in English simultaneously via the MANGA Plus platform.
The series unfolds in Mikurigaoka New Town, a suburban area transformed into a crucible of otherworldly phenomena following a mysterious disaster. The narrative follows Hifumi, a middle school boy who crosses paths with a newly relocated girl, setting off a chain of events focused on correcting supernatural anomalies.
Creator Legacy and Media Footprint
Before launching Ghost Fixers, Yasuki Tanaka built a dedicated following with Summer Time Rendering, which ran from 2017 to 2021. That suspense thriller spawned an acclaimed 2022 anime adaptation directed by Ayumu Watanabe, a live-action film project slated for 2027, and a console game released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. With Ghost Fixers concluding, readers and industry observers wait eagerly to see what narrative landscape Tanaka will explore next.
