The legendary Evangelion franchise is once again bridging worlds, returning for its highly anticipated third collaboration with the popular mobile word-RPG Kotodaman (Kyōtō Kotoba RPG Kotodaman). Set to run from October 30 through November 20, 2026, this crossover brings beloved pilots, mecha units, and unforgettable narrative iterations straight into the gaming realm.
Since Hideaki Anno's original 1995 television series completely redefined mecha anime, and its subsequent Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy concluded with 2021's Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, Hideaki Anno's masterwork continues to permeate modern media. This latest gaming crossover showcases that enduring legacy through meticulously designed event units and exclusive summon pools.
Character Lineup and Special Summons
Players can expect an impressive roster of fighters joining the summon banner. Among the highlights is a brand-new special variant, Long-Haired Rei, appearing as a Miracle Kotodaman. Alongside her, fans can summon powerful combinations and variants including Shinji vs. Gendo, Shinji wielding the Spear of Gaius, Asuka and Misato in their Operation Yamato gear, Mari, and a joint Ritsuko & Maya unit from WILLE.
To help players secure these fighters, the event introduces a special single-strike complete summon banner allowing up to 30 free pulls. Securing the Long-Haired Rei unit triggers a critical bonus summon guaranteeing the remaining six collaboration characters. Additionally, players who log in during the event period will receive the special Rei & Muon unit as a gift, alongside purchases for Commander Suit Kaworu.
In-Game Quests and Special Campaigns
Beyond standard summons, dangerous adversary units arrive in event quests, including Eva Unit-01 wielding the Spear of Gaius, Mark.09-A, Eva New Unit-2 Alpha (Anti-CODE 999), and Eva Modified Unit-8 Gamma (Predation). Developer updates confirm that special social media campaigns will run alongside the update, offering gift cards and collaboration merchandise sets to participating fans.
Whether you are a veteran collector of mobile titles or a lifelong follower of Studio Khara's apocalyptic vision, this crossover event delivers a comprehensive celebration of modern anime history.
