The world of Yomi no Tsugai is officially expanding into the digital realms of mobile gaming. Hiromu Arakawa's celebrated manga adaptation, animated by Bones Film, is launching a major collaboration with Mixi's mega-hit smartphone title Monster Strike. Set to kick off on October 16, 2026, the crossover brings the dark, folklore-infused mythology of the series straight to mobile screens with exclusive gacha banners, challenging event quests, and substantial rewards for players.
Arakawa's original dark fantasy follows Yuru, a young hunter residing in a secluded mountain village who becomes entangled in a fierce supernatural conflict revolving around mysterious pairings known as tsugai. Following the television anime's broadcast schedule—with the first cour slated for April 2026 and the second cour following in July—the momentum continues to surge. The adaptation features a stellar voice cast including Kensho Ono as Yuru, Yume Miyamoto as Asa, and Yuichi Nakamura as Dera, with a second season already greenlit.
Crossover Characters and Quests
During the collaboration window, fans can summon prominent figures from the series through limited gacha banners. Characters joining the roster include Yuru, Asa, Gabu-chan, Dera, and Hana. Meanwhile, event quests will challenge players against figures such as Haruo, Teyon Ashinaga, Asuma, Makoto Tachikawa, Kenichi Hamura, and Hayato Shingo, bringing the series' distinct roster of supernatural entities into Monster Strike combat.
Players can also acquire Jin through the collaboration starter pack available within the official web shop, alongside daily log-in bonuses rewarding Oshirasama. Additional rewards like Danji and alternate versions of Asa are tied to specific in-game mission objectives, ensuring a wealth of content for both franchise enthusiasts and veteran mobile gamers alike.
