Fresh off the broadcast of its gripping season finale, the creative coming-of-age adaptation Draw This, Then Die! has officially received the green light for a second season. To commemorate the announcement, production teams have revealed an evocative new key visual spotlighting protagonist Ai Yasumi alongside Pokota, setting the tone for the next chapter of her artistic endeavors.
Production Pedigree and Creative Staff
The first season, which ran from July to September 2026 across 12 episodes, was brought to life by Shin-Ei Animation. The adaptation was guided by director Hiroaki Akagi, known for his work on The Dangers in My Heart. Series composition was managed by Hiroko Fukuda, while character designs were crafted by Kenji Sagawa. The voice cast features stellar performances from Akira Sekine as Ai Yasumi, alongside Saori Hayami, Saya Hitomi, Kanon Fujimura, and Inori Minase.
Manga Roots and Critical Acclaim
The underlying source material by Minoru Toyoda began serialization in Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday in November 2021. The critically acclaimed series has earned prestigious industry accolades, including the 16th Manga Taisho Award in 2023 and the 70th Shogakukan Manga Award in 2024. English-speaking fans can experience the original story via Seven Seas Entertainment, while Crunchyroll streams the anime internationally.
