The supernatural urban fantasy hit Daemons of the Shadow Realm (Yomi no Tsugai) is officially returning to screens. Production studio Bones Film confirmed that a second season is in active development, accompanied by a brand-new key visual and a teaser trailer that teases the continuation of Yuru and Asa's harrowing journey.
The announcement arrives closely on the heels of the conclusion of the series' first season, which aired across two consecutive cours totaling 24 episodes from April to September 2026. While a definitive premiere date for the sophomore season has not yet been announced, the initial promotional rollout highlights the continuation of the core creative team's involvement.
Production Pedigree and Cast
Director Masahiro Ando, known for his striking work on Sword of the Stranger and Blast of Tempest, helmed the inaugural season at Bones Film. He was joined by series composer Noboru Takagi and character designer Nobuhiro Arai. The voice cast features leading industry talent, including Kensho Ono as Yuru, Yume Miyamoto as Asa, and Yuichi Nakamura as Dera.
