Now, the cultural phenomenon is taking a massive step forward as the 45th feature film in the series heads to cinemas nationwide across India starting October 2, 2026, distributed by PVR INOX Pictures.
Marking the very first time a Doraemon theatrical feature hits Indian silver screens, the release will be multi-lingual, featuring Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubs to reach diverse generations of fans. Ahead of the premiere, a grand red-carpet preview event took place at Inorbit Mall Malad in Mumbai, drawing passionate crowds who sang classic franchise theme songs together before catching the underwater adventure on the big screen.

Meanwhile, back in Japan, TV Asahi is capitalizing on the international excitement with a special India-themed television episode titled "Namaste! Nobita Studies Abroad in India," scheduled to air on November 7. The special follows Nobita utilizing a secret gadget to spend a single day studying at a primary school in Delhi, leading to comical misunderstandings regarding his supposed genius intellect.
