Stepping into the director's chair is Moriyama Ushio, who brings extensive experience from the ongoing television anime series, making his feature-film directorial debut for the franchise. Accompanying him as scriptwriter is Ueda Makoto, founder of the renowned theatrical troupe Europe Kikaku and veteran writer known for time-slip narratives such as Summer Time Machine Blues.
