Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Jōki Jikansha (Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Steam Time Locomotive) will officially open in Japanese theaters on March 5, 2027, as confirmed alongside a teaser visual and teaser video reveal.
The narrative follows Nobita and his companions as they journey backward through time aboard a steam locomotive to Victorian London. Helming the project is director Rushio Moriyama, who has contributed as a storyboarder and episode director for the Doraemon television anime since 2020. The screenplay is penned by acclaimed writer Makoto Ueda, renowned for his distinct narrative rhythm on titles such as The Tatami Galaxy, Tatami Time Machine Blues, and Penguin Highway.
