Source Material and Premise
The anime adapts the light novel series written by Reki Kawahara, renowned creator of Sword Art Online and Accel World, with illustrations by Yukiko Horiguchi. Serialized via Dengeki Bunko since November 2022, the narrative centers on Yuuma Ashihara, a grade school student who beta-tests a hyper-realistic VRMMO titled Actual Magic. When the virtual world bleeds into reality, transforming ordinary schoolmates into monstrous threats, the survivors must navigate a harrowing battle for existence.
The series is scheduled to premiere globally on Amazon Prime Video on November 6.
