The official website for Demons' Crest (Devils' Crest), the upcoming television anime adaptation of Reki Kawahara's acclaimed light novel series, has announced four new classmate cast members alongside key production details. The series, which transports a class of sixth graders into a lethal VRMMORPG titled Actual Magic, is gearing up for its worldwide premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 6.
Joining the cast for protagonist Yuma Ashihara's classmates are Yūsuke Kobayashi as soccer captain Teruki Sugamo, Maaya Uchida as class hierarchy leader Aria Misono, Rie Murakawa as observant student Kai Kisanuki, and Sora Amamiya as popular student Sumika Watamaki. They join previously announced leads Haruka Shiraishi and Konomi Inagaki in navigating the terrifying digital wasteland where an ordinary school trip spirals into a fight for survival.
Production Pedigree and Staff
Animation production is anchored by Production I.G, bringing a heavyweight creative roster to the project. Shinji Ushiro serves as chief director, working alongside director Kenichirō Komaya. Screenplay supervision is handled by Eiji Umehara, with original novel illustrator Yukiko Horiguchi providing character designs. Musical composition is helmed by Yūki Hayashi and Naoyuki Chikatani, while musical artist Ado performs the opening theme song titled "Shinka" (Evolution).
