A team of high-profile anime industry veterans has officially established Arkstelia, a new anime planning and production company dedicated primarily to the development and creation of original IP. First reported by industry researcher Naoto Misaki, the Tokyo-based firm was formally incorporated on September 1 with a leadership roster stacked with acclaimed creative talent.
Industry Veterans Assemble
Heading the new venture as Representative Director is veteran anime producer Atsushi Yukawa, whose extensive career includes top producer credits on Girls und Panzer, Princess Principal, and Code Geass, as well as the recent feature L’etoile de Paris en Fleur. Yukawa also serves as a primary stakeholder alongside a formidable lineup of industry collaborators:
- Goro Taniguchi: Director of Code Geass, ONE PIECE FILM RED, and L’etoile de Paris en Fleur.
- Ichiro Ohkouchi: Series composer and writer behind Code Geass and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury.
- Rajeev Karki: Representative of Arvo Animation and producer on L’etoile de Paris en Fleur.
Focus on Original Creation
Beyond its core mission of concept creation and original anime production, Arkstelia plans to offer strategic consultancy for anime planning, media expansion, and IP development. Additionally, the company aims to incorporate modern market research methods, including AI-driven analytical services, to gauge production trends and audience demand.
