Manga creator Kana Ozawa announced on her official X account that she will begin serializing a brand-new title, Ao Sansan (Blue Brilliance), starting in December. While the exact publishing magazine or platform remains under wraps for now, Ozawa confirmed that this narrative represents an original concept she has quietly developed over the past few years.
A Track Record of Passion Projects
Ozawa has built a dedicated readership through character-driven dramas grounded in niche passions and emotional resilience. Her aviation manga Blue Thermal -Aonagi Daigaku Taiiku-kai Kōkū-bu- ran in Shinchosha's Monthly Comic @Bunch from 2014 to 2017, compiling five volumes and later inspiring a prequel, Blue Thermal: First Flight. The series gained broader mainstream recognition when Telecom Animation Film adapted it into a feature-length anime movie in March 2022.
Following Blue Thermal, Ozawa launched Blue Moment on Kadokawa's Comic Bridge Online in 2018, exploring meteorological rescue teams and inspiring a live-action television adaptation in 2024. With Ao Sansan continuing her artistic fascination with sky-tinted motifs, further serialization details and platform availability are expected in the coming weeks.
