The upcoming television adaptation of Yukino Sonoyama’s acclaimed fashion-themed manga Bless has shared a fresh character promotional video, bringing crucial updates regarding its voice cast and production schedule. Scheduled to air on Fuji TV’s prestigious Noitamina programming block, the series is officially locked in for a January 2027 premiere, bringing its deeply personal look at the fashion industry to the small screen.
The newly dropped promotional preview highlights the addition of Yoshiki Nakajima, who will step into the role of Joe Osaki. He joins an already impressive principal cast featuring Tomohiro Ōno as Aia Udagawa, Chiyuki Miura as Jun Sumisaki, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Ginga Yoyogi, Yoshino Aoyama as Oroka Sumeragi, Momoka Terasawa as Shitataka Sumeragi, and Kentarō Kumagai as MM.
Production Pedigree at A-1 Pictures
Animation production is anchored at A-1 Pictures, with Shōtarō Kitamura taking the directorial helm following standout work on Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!. The creative team boasts heavy industry talent, including assistant director Takayuki Kikuchi, series composition writer Fukurou Kamiza, and character designer Honoka Yokoyama, who also serves as chief animation director alongside Tetsuya Kawakami and Reina Iwasaki. Musical scoring is handled by Ryō Yoshimata.
Published originally in Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge before transitioning to Monthly Shonen Sirius, Sonoyama’s original manga has surpassed 1.25 million copies in circulation. Kodansha USA Publishing handles the English print release, while digital serialization runs concurrently through the K MANGA platform. Alongside the winter 2027 anime broadcast, the property is also expanding with a global live-action adaptation slated for Amazon Prime Video in spring 2027.
