The upcoming fashion-centric anime adaptation of Yukino Sonoyama's manga Bless has received a striking new teaser visual alongside dedicated character trailers and primary cast details. Scheduled for a January 2027 broadcast, the project is being produced by A-1 Pictures under the direction of Shotaro Kitamura, known for his work on Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!
The newly unveiled teaser visual, illustrated by character designer Honoka Yokoyama (recognized for her contributions to OSHI NO KO), sets a confident tone with the accompanying tagline, “This runway is just for me.” Alongside the visual, character spotlights have introduced the central dynamic between the leads. Tomohiro Ono steps into the role of Aia Udagawa, a former model and first-year high school student, while Chiyuki Miura voices Jun Sumisaki, Aia's tall classmate who conceals her freckles while aspiring to break into the fashion industry.

Serialized in Kodansha's Shonen Magazine since 2022 and spanning eight volumes, Bless approaches the competitive world of high fashion with a grounded perspective on self-worth and creative dedication. Kodansha USA describes the narrative as an inspirational examination of beauty and the struggle against arbitrary standards that prioritize raw talent over persistent effort.
Director Shotaro Kitamura leads an impressive creative lineup at A-1 Pictures. The production features assistant director Takayuki Kikuchi, costume designer Akane Takeda, main animators Yuichiro Ida, Marina Kobayashi, and Mirai Harashima, alongside hair and makeup supervisor Katsuyoshi Kojima of tron.
