The Aniplex One Focus 2026 event brought major news for fans of contemporary drama, officially confirming that Yukino Sonoyama's critically acclaimed fashion manga Bless is making the leap to television. Set to broadcast on Fuji TV's prestigious NoitaminA programming block, the adaptation has locked in a January 2027 premiere window.
A-1 Pictures is steering the production, assembling a top-tier creative team for the project. Shoutarou Kitamura, known for his work on Make Heroine ga Oosugiru!, is directing the series, backed by assistant director Takayuki Kikuchi. The intricate narrative scripts and series composition are being handled by Kamiza Fukurou, while Honoka Yokoyama takes charge of character designs. Renowned composer Ryo Yoshimata is crafting the musical landscape.
Cast and Production Vision
The adaptation has also cast its two lead roles, bringing the central dynamics of Sonoyama's manga to life. Tomohiro Ono will voice Aia Udagawa, alongside Chiyuki Miura as Jun Sumisaki. To celebrate the announcement, production released character promotional videos highlighting both protagonists.
Sonoyama originally launched the fashion-centric drama in Shounen Magazine Edge in January 2022 before transitioning the series to Shounen Sirius in late 2023. Kodansha USA handles the English release, earning recognition from the 2023 Next Manga Awards where the print edition secured the 11th spot.
