Point Set has announced that the television anime adaptation of Ichika Isshiki and fame's Berserk of Gluttony light novel series will officially return for a second season in 2027. Alongside the renewal announcement, a celebratory video message featuring Ryōta Ōsaka, the voice behind protagonist Fate Graphite, was released to mark the occasion.
The franchise first made the leap to television in October 2023 under the direction of Tetsuya Yanagisawa at studio ACGT. The initial adaptation won over dark fantasy enthusiasts with its unflinching look at power scales and relentless combat, backed by Crunchyroll's international streaming distribution and English dub rollout.
Cast and Creative Pedigree
Returning viewers can expect the core voice cast to reprise their roles for the upcoming chapter:
- Ryota Ohsaka as Fate Graphite
- Tomokazu Seki as the black sword Greed
- Hisako Tōjō as Roxy
- Misato Matsuoka as Myne
- Hitomi Sekine as Eris
While specific staff rosters for the sophomore run are still under wraps, the foundational world-building stems from Isshiki's web novel origin on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, which later expanded via Micro Magazine and Daisuke Takino's manga adaptation in Comic Ride.
The Curse of Gluttony
Fate Graphite is one of the forsaken. Cursed with the skill “Gluttony,” he is ever starving, never sated…until the day he kills a dying thief and devours the man's strength—and his soul. The true hunger of Fate's Gluttony has awakened, and if he can learn to control his power, he will at last be the master of his own destiny.
Seven Seas Entertainment
English-speaking audiences looking to catch up on the source material can find both the light novels and manga adaptations available through Seven Seas Entertainment as the 2027 premiere window approaches.
